What's the impact of sleep and physical health on trading psychology?

Been pondering this lately, do you guys reckon there's a connection between sleep patterns, physical health, and trading psychology? Like, would proper sleep and a good workout routine feed into better decision making and less emotional trading? Maybe it's just me, but it seems like my game's always a bit off when I haven't been getting enough Zs or I've been skipping the gym too much. Has anyone else noticed this or is it just in my head? Would love to hear your insights, maybe some strategies for balancing gym-sleep-trading if you've got them.

Gotta be honest, mates, not seeing the link here. I mean one's personal habits are their own business, right? Trading is about strategy, not how many push-ups you did last night. Just my two cents.

While it's true strategy is crucial in trading, it's worth thinking about how our physical health and sleep could impact our mental focus and decision-making abilities. It's always about finding that balance that works best for you as an individual.

Maybe it's not about being buff or running on a full 8 hours, but staying healthy enough to keep your head clear and sharp. After all, can't win a marathon if you can’t tie your shoes, right?

Ever try yoga or meditation? Can't hurt to give it a shot, might help with reducing stress and boosting focus in your trading game. Plus, it doesn't take that much time.

If we're trading in top form, we've got to consider our personal health and lifestyle, and not just focus on our portfolios. The market can be erratic, and stress levels can rise quickly. This sudden surge of stress hormones can cloud judgement and lead to poor decision making. Staying physically active and ensuring adequate rest can help in mitigating these physiological responses to stress. So, looking after your health doesn't just benefit your body - it could give you an edge in trading as well. What do you guys do to stay fit and healthy during trading hours?

Have any of you folks tried using one of those standing desks or treadmill desks? Just got one the other week and it's been a game changer for me. Keeps the blood flowing and you'd be surprised how much more you'll focus on the trades when you're not slouched in a chair. Worth considering if you're spending a lot of time sitting in front of screens. Now I've got a question, any of you guys got some other unconventional strategies or equipment suggestions for maintaining balance while keeping on top of the trading game?
